About This Image
Location: Telluride, CO
The first time I set out to capture these iconic barns in Telluride, Colorado, I completely failed—epically, even. I’d seen the image in my mind countless times: rustic barns resting beneath snow-capped peaks in the San Juan range. I knew they had to be out there, tucked away on some forgotten backroad.
I spent hours, and I mean hours, winding through mountain roads and dirt turnouts, hoping to catch a glimpse. I was convinced these barns were hidden somewhere off the beaten path, guarded like a secret only the locals knew.
Turns out… they’re right off a paved road.
After that humbling first attempt, I promised myself I’d return—not just to redeem the photo I missed, but because these barns meant something more to me. They reminded me of my grandfather. We used to watch old westerns together, many of them filmed in these very mountains. The rugged landscapes, the cabins, the characters—they all echoed something I’d grown up admiring.
So, I came back. I waited until the conditions were just right. The light had to be soft, the mountains snow-dusted, the grass still golden. And when it all lined up, I stepped off the side of that very paved road and captured this frame.
What came from it was more than just a photograph. It was a quiet tribute to the stories I grew up with, and the man who helped shape how I see the world.
This is The Wild West—a blend of nostalgia, patience, and finding beauty right where you least expect it.

Limited Edition vs Open Edition
Our Limited Edition prints are produced using a unique, high-resolution printing process that captures maximum detail, depth, and color accuracy—far superior to traditional methods used for open edition prints. Each piece is hand-signed and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity, ensuring its rarity and value.
Open Edition prints, while still high-quality, do not have a set production limit and are printed using traditional methods. They are a great way to enjoy Riley Clark’s work at a more accessible price, but they do not carry the same exclusivity or premium detail as the museum-quality Limited Editions.

Tips for Choosing the Right Size Art
🖼 Bigger is (usually) better
If you’re hanging above a sofa, bed, or fireplace, aim for a print that’s around 60–75% of the furniture’s width. It’ll feel more balanced and make a stronger statement.
📏 Measure twice, decorate once
Tape out dimensions on your wall using painter’s tape to visualize different sizes. This quick step can save a lot of guesswork.
📲 Use the AR Preview Tool
See exactly how each piece will look on your wall—framed, finished, and true to scale. It’s like a fitting room for your art.
🖤 Go with your gut
Some rooms call for subtle, others for bold. Trust your instinct and let your space guide you.
