We didn’t set out looking for lighthouses.
My wife and I were on a weeklong coastal road trip—part adventure, part creative reset. The kind of trip where you hope for golden sunsets, salty air, and clear skies. Instead, we were met with relentless rain. Day after day of gray.
Somewhere along the way—during a break from the storm and the driving—I stumbled across a photo of a lighthouse that caught my eye. I wasn’t planning to go there. It wasn’t on our itinerary. But something about it stuck with me.
So when the clouds began to thin just enough to hint at light, we made a turn. A spontaneous detour toward that tower on the cliff.
We arrived at the edge of the continent, where jagged rocks met a restless sea. The wind howled. Waves thundered. But there it stood—tall and unwavering. A beacon.
For just a few moments, the storm paused. The clouds parted enough to let soft light spill across the coastline. The cliffs came alive. The ocean glowed with motion and color. And the lighthouse—once just a curiosity—now felt like something deeper. Like it had waited for us.
I grabbed my camera and made a few frames before the storm reclaimed the scene.
And then it was gone.
The moment passed, but it stayed with us. That spontaneous turn. That quiet flash of beauty. A reminder that even in the storm, there are guiding lights—and if you follow your curiosity, you might just find them.
This image is that moment. A Sailor’s Hope.
A detour worth taking. A memory I’ll carry with me.

Limited Edition vs Open Edition
Our Limited Edition prints are produced using a unique, high-resolution printing process that captures maximum detail, depth, and color accuracy—far superior to traditional methods used for open edition prints. Each piece is hand-signed and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity, ensuring its rarity and value.
Open Edition prints, while still high-quality, do not have a set production limit and are printed using traditional methods. They are a great way to enjoy Riley Clark’s work at a more accessible price, but they do not carry the same exclusivity or premium detail as the museum-quality Limited Editions.

Tips for Choosing the Right Size Art
🖼 Bigger is (usually) better
If you’re hanging above a sofa, bed, or fireplace, aim for a print that’s around 60–75% of the furniture’s width. It’ll feel more balanced and make a stronger statement.
📏 Measure twice, decorate once
Tape out dimensions on your wall using painter’s tape to visualize different sizes. This quick step can save a lot of guesswork.
📲 Use the AR Preview Tool
See exactly how each piece will look on your wall—framed, finished, and true to scale. It’s like a fitting room for your art.
🖤 Go with your gut
Some rooms call for subtle, others for bold. Trust your instinct and let your space guide you.
