About This Image

Location: Valley of Fire State Park, NV

Growing up in Las Vegas, Valley of Fire State Park has always held a special place in my heart. It’s one of the easiest escapes from the city—a place where you can trade neon lights for towering red sandstone and endless desert skies.

As a photographer, I find myself drawn back here again and again. There’s something timeless about this rugged landscape, especially when spring rolls around.

Spring in the desert is tricky.

The wildflower bloom is short-lived and entirely dependent on the rare blessing of winter moisture. Most years, it comes and goes before anyone even notices. But when the conditions align, something magical happens—the desert, usually quiet and subdued, bursts into color.

Hunting for these desert blossoms has become one of my favorite seasonal challenges. It's not just about finding the flowers, but finding them in the right light, in the right place, at just the right moment.

On this particular evening, after wandering off the beaten path, I stumbled across this beautiful patch of beavertail cactus in full bloom. The vibrant pink blossoms were absolutely glowing against the soft, red earth and golden hour sky. It felt like discovering a secret. One that’s only visible to those willing to slow down and look closely.

This image, Desert Blumes, captures one of those fleeting, perfect moments—when life breaks through the harshness of the desert and reminds you that beauty is always waiting, even in the most unexpected places.

Limited Edition vs Open Edition

Our Limited Edition prints are produced using a unique, high-resolution printing process that captures maximum detail, depth, and color accuracy—far superior to traditional methods used for open edition prints. Each piece is hand-signed and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity, ensuring its rarity and value.

Open Edition prints, while still high-quality, do not have a set production limit and are printed using traditional methods. They are a great way to enjoy Riley Clark’s work at a more accessible price, but they do not carry the same exclusivity or premium detail as the museum-quality Limited Editions.

Tips for Choosing the Right Size Art

🖼 Bigger is (usually) better

If you’re hanging above a sofa, bed, or fireplace, aim for a print that’s around 60–75% of the furniture’s width. It’ll feel more balanced and make a stronger statement.

📏 Measure twice, decorate once

Tape out dimensions on your wall using painter’s tape to visualize different sizes. This quick step can save a lot of guesswork.

📲 Use the AR Preview Tool

See exactly how each piece will look on your wall—framed, finished, and true to scale. It’s like a fitting room for your art.

🖤 Go with your gut

Some rooms call for subtle, others for bold. Trust your instinct and let your space guide you.
